In memory of Verna Hart a number of prominent artists and peers of Verna will be participating incl.  Shaquora Bay,  Robert Reid, Gena Sampson,   We are steady and sincere about making the legacy of Verna Hart an ongoing contribution to achieving our goal of fostering the careers of up-and-coming artist in the art community. Through our previous efforts Waverly Johnson and Xiana Garcia were scholarship recipients, while artists Summer-Zaire Bell and Shaquora Bay and Waverly Johnson were honored with monetary donations. The unexpected financial awards came from Netflix, which plans to use some of their artwork in its “Survival of the Thickest” series

Hello, and thank you for supporting our efforts to keep Verna Hart's legacy alive through "The Verna Hart Legacy Committee" - a spin-off of "Friends of Verna Hart," an organization I am no longer affiliated with.

The Verna Hart Legacy Committee is thrilled to announce that Our group is following new and exciting paths to honor the late great Verna. To maintain Verna's artistic legacy and impact, The Verna Hart Legacy and impact, The Verna Hart Legacy Committee will continue to aid female artists with educational awards.

Through my previous affiliation with The Friends of Verna Hart, Waverly Johnson, and Xiana Garcia were our first two scholarship recipients,, while artists Summer-Zaire Bell and Shaquora Bay were honored with monetary donations. In addition, some of Summer-Zaire Bell's artwork was purchased for a future organization auction. Unexpected financial awards for Summer-Zaire, Waverly, and Shaquora came from Netflix, which plans to use some of their artwork in its "Survival of the Thickest" series.

Looking forward, The Verna Hart Legacy Committee, through the distribution of educational awards and other initiatives, will uplift our past and future awardees, and always faithfully honor the memory and accomplishments of Verna Hart. Thank you again.
